ISO 37001 Certification in Angola

ISO 37001 is the international standard for anti-bribery management systems. It demonstrates that a company has serious controls to prevent, detect and respond to bribery, and it is increasingly requested by companies doing business with partners and financiers who require international due diligence. In banking, insurance, oil and gas and mining, it is now a signal of credibility that opens doors. AGH prepares your company; DQS certifies.

What the standard requires

A clear anti-bribery policy, bribery risk assessment, due diligence on partners and third parties, controls over gifts, hospitality and donations, a reporting channel, and a compliance function with direct support from top leadership.

What AGH does for you

We assess bribery risk, build the policy and controls, produce the documentation, train the team and the compliance function, and conduct the internal audit, until the company is ready for certification.

What DQS does

DQS, an accredited and independent certification body, carries out the certification and issues the certificate, contracted and paid to DQS. AGH is DQS's exclusive Channel Partner in Angola.

How long it takes

A typical journey runs from four to eight months, depending on size, exposure to third parties and the initial state of compliance controls.

How much it costs

AGH's fees for preparation, and the certification audit contracted to DQS, are set following the free diagnosis.

The 2025 edition

The version in force is ISO 37001:2025, a revised edition that strengthens alignment with the other management standards and clarifies requirements, while maintaining the central requirement of an effective anti-bribery system. In an Angolan context of strengthening transparency, it is one of the most timely certifications for companies wanting to work with international counterparts.

Frequently asked questions

Yes, particularly in banking, insurance, energy, oil and gas and mining, where exposure to third parties is greater.
