ISO 29001 Certification in Angola

ISO 29001 is the quality management standard specific to the petroleum, petrochemical and natural gas industries. It builds on ISO 9001 and adds sector-specific requirements, designed for suppliers of products and services in the oil and gas chain. For an Angolan company wanting to supply the large operators, it is the standard that speaks their language. AGH prepares your company; DQS certifies.

What the standard requires

All the requirements of ISO 9001, plus additional sector-specific controls: rigorous supplier and materials management, control of critical processes, reinforced traceability and defect prevention across the oil and gas supply chain.

What AGH does for you

We carry out the diagnosis against the standard, structure the sector-specific processes and controls, produce the manuals and procedures, train the team and conduct the internal audit, until the company is ready for certification.

What DQS does

DQS, an accredited and independent certification body, carries out the certification and issues the certificate, contracted and paid to DQS. AGH is DQS's exclusive Channel Partner in Angola. The version in force is ISO 29001:2020, with the 2024 climate action amendment.

How long it takes

A typical journey runs from five to nine months, depending on size, the complexity of the processes and the starting point.

How much it costs

AGH's fees for preparation, and the certification audit contracted to DQS, are set following the free diagnosis.

Frequently asked questions

It builds on it, but adds the oil and gas specific requirements that large operators demand of their suppliers.
