ISO 22000 and HACCP Certification in Angola

ISO 22000 is the international standard for food safety, and it integrates the principles of HACCP into a management system. For anyone wanting to export coffee, seafood, honey, fruit or agro-processed goods, it is often the first requirement that the international buyer and large-scale retail put on the table. AGH prepares your company; DQS certifies.

What the standard requires

Hazard analysis and the definition of critical control points (HACCP), prerequisite programmes (hygiene, facilities, suppliers), traceability, operational control across the food chain and response to incidents, within a management system with continual improvement.

What AGH does for you

We build the HACCP plan, set up the prerequisite programmes, produce the manuals and procedures, train the team and conduct the internal audit, until the company is ready for certification.

What DQS does

DQS, an accredited and independent certification body, carries out the certification audit and issues the certificate, contracted and paid to DQS. AGH is DQS's exclusive Channel Partner in Angola.

How long it takes

A typical journey runs from five to nine months, depending on the type of product, the complexity of production and the initial state of hygiene and traceability practices.

How much it costs

AGH's fees for preparation, and the certification audit contracted to DQS, are set following the free diagnosis.

Useful notes

The version in force is ISO 22000:2018, with a revision in preparation. To sell to large international retail, the buyer often asks for a scheme recognised by the GFSI, such as FSSC 22000, which builds on ISO 22000. The diagnosis clarifies which path is right for your target market.

Frequently asked questions

HACCP is the foundation, the hazard analysis. ISO 22000 wraps HACCP into a complete, certifiable management system.
